During December 2020 we will be accepting emailed submissions that contain up to 2 pieces ‘sparked’ by Notebooking Daily or any of our Prompting Partners. Please only submit 2 pieces without a small donation during December unless asked, & we definitely appreciate any tip jar submissions that will help us pay our first writers! ALL SUBMISSIONS DURING DECEMBER WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR OUR “ICEBREAKER PRIZE”
Deadline: 12/31 Midnight PST.
Prize: $25 via paypal or venmo.
How many pieces: Up to 2 pieces of poetry or prose. We lean toward short prose, so if your story is longer than 2000 words it will have to be really good (especially on the language-level. We like tight and interesting prose as well as poetry).
Winner will be posted on 1/1, probably no earlier than the afternoon to allow us to read everything. Not everyone will receive a response before 1/1 (though many will), if you have not received a response before the Icebreaker Prize Winner is published, your piece is still under consideration, and it was read for the prize, just not chosen as the winner—and know that it made it past the first round of consideration, which is a good thing.
